Loft insulation provides fantastic insulative capabilities. In an uninsulated home, approximately 40% of heat will be lost through the roof. So getting loft insulation installed is a priority if you are looking to reduce carbon emissions, become more energy efficient and save money on heating bills. Loft insulation is relatively cheap and is available in all DIY stores, the reccomended depth to buy is at least 270mm for standard mineral wool loft insulation. Installation of loft insulation is simple as well, you just roll it out in your loft. Loft insulation will remain effective for around 40 years and over that time will pay for itself again and again with the energy saving capacity it has. It will also reduce CO2 emissions and improve energy efficiency which will save money on heating bills and reduce your carbon footprint.
