How much fossil fuels are left? When will fossil fuels run out?

The human race is hugely reliant on fossil fuels in so many aspects of our daily lives. Oil is refined into petrol and aviation fuel to power our cars and planes for transport. It is turned into diesel to power farming equipment to bring us food, and is used in the creation of all kinds of plastics and other consumer goods. Natural gas heats our homes our water and public buildings; while coal provides us with the electricity we need to power all our electrical appliances and light our homes. In all walks of life, energy provided mostly by fossil fuels governs our lives and keeps things running smoothly. It is widely known that our reliance on fossil fuels must end soon to ensure our continued existence and to secure our way of life as we know it today.

Alternative ways of creating energy must be found, and the use of renewable sources of energy expanded. But the question is, as fossil fuels are running out, and running out fast, how much fossil fuels are left? And when will fossil fuels run out?

It is predicted that there will be no fossil fuels left in the world in 250 – 350 years, with coal being the last to disappear, and oil and gas going much sooner. To find out in greater detail the predictions of when the individual fossil fuels will run out, check out the articles below.
